Volunteers

THREE FOR ME... is a promise. A promise not only from you, but a promise to your child and a promise to our school. You promise to volunteer three hours of your time to your child by signing a Three for Me promise card. Whether it is making copies for a teacher, reading to children, filing books on the shelves, helping at a PTA event, or dozens of other opportunities, it's all important and it all counts.
The Gorman Grossing PTA understands that between work, homework, after-school activities and sports, parents are stretched very thin. However we do not want parents to give up volunteering for the school and school events because the benefits are so great. Volunteering in school has proven to improve student performance in significant, measurable ways in addition to improving the morale of teachers and staff.
We invite and welcome new involvement and fresh ideas (in fact there are still some Committee positions waiting to be filled this year-please check out the Committees section of this website for these vacancies).
Our motto, " a little volunteering, goes a long way..." really means a lot when we look at the number of volunteer hours at the end of the school year.
